HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0027nq

Hello,

The left hinge came off the back cover. I sent the laptop to the authorized service but they said that this defect is not part of the warranty. The warranty is extended so the laptop is still under warranty. I would like to know if this type of defect is part of the warranty.

I'm sorry your having this problem.  I have the same issue though my unit is out of warranty.  Google HP Broken Hinges and you will be amazed at the number of posts you will find including a potential class action suit.  I have been using HP laptops for years but until they can show that they have this under control, I won't buy another one.  HP Support:  Please convince me otherwise.  The fact that you won't fix hinges under warranty says it all.

Hi@Dan_A1, @Lou_in_MD

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Hinge issues with the HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop PC. I apologize for the Inconvenience.

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out. HP provides repair or service options for out of warranty products as well. Hence I encourage you to contact HP support for all warranty service options.

As I said, the laptop has an extended warranty, unfortunately it no longer has a warranty from HP. The question was whether this hinge issue was warranted. If I try to contact those who deal with my warranty (DEPANERO) they refuse to repair the hinge. I don't want to do the repair for a fee. So I repeat, these hinges are repaired under warranty ?? Thanks
