The left hinge on my laptop started to come loose and I started to hear a loud clicking sound every time I opened or closed my laptop. The screen started to come loose in that area not so long afterwards. The laptop was still under warranty so I sent it back to get fixed, however they returned it to me with the bottom fixed but the top was loose so I was advised to send it back again. I was really hoping it would all be fine when it returned, since I needed my laptop for university in the coming weeks. Long and behold the top was fixed and the bottom was loose AGAIN and they wedged a sticker in between my screen and the hinge, so if I pulled it off the screen would come with it!. I sent it back a third time and just got it back to have the top of the screen popping out AGAIN and they even scratched the metal to where the sticker was wedged! So now I have to send it back a FOURTH TIME, even though I was assured the repair was overlooked by a supervisor, and will only get it back a few days before I leave for university all because they can’t fix the screen without causing another issue. I’ve never dropped it or dine anything to it, I literally get the laptop back from repair and I have to send it back the next day to get repaired again. I can’t get a replacement of refund as it’s been over a month despite it being under warranty, and I’m honestly tired since I haven’t been able to use my laptop for anything because of the poor quality of the repairs. Is there anything I can do to make sure this gets repaired properly this time or do I just have to hope, that somehow after 4 attempts, that someone actually cares to fix it properly and check if there are any problems without sending it back not fully fixed?

Hi@CarlosJL,
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Apologies for all the inconvenience
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This sounds like hardware related issue with the hinge assembly and in order to fix this issue, your computer needs to be serviced. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.
I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

I’ve had the issue repaired after the last time I sent it off but when I close the lid, the screen doesn’t go to sleep even though I have it in the settings to sleep when the lid was shut. This wasn’t an issue before the repair, is there a way to fix it?
