How much the maximum RAM for this PC ( HP pavilion g6 notebook pc ) ( serial : [personal information removed per Rules Of Participation] ) safe

I have 4GB of ram

Possible to add another 4GB to get 8GB of Ram safe?

The Manual says 6 gigs max DDR3-1333 but it is actually 8 (2 x 4 gig modules)

According to the research I've done these model of laptops use processors such as:

• Intel (r) i7 ####
• Intel (r) i5 ####
• Intel (r) i3 ####

These processors have built-in memory controllers. Therefore they are responsible for deciding how much memory the computer system can have.

I also have a HP Pavilion g6 laptop. Only my model is different. My laptop uses an Intel (r) i3-2350m dual core processor. I read online about the specs of this processor and information sources said it can handle up to 16GB of RAM Memory.

Since the processor seems to be the determining factor for maximum ram in these HP Pavilion g6 laptops I would guess that your laptop can handle anywhere up to 16GB as well. However, you will have to find out which processor your laptop has and then research the maximum RAM Memory capacity that it has to find out how much ram your laptop can have.
