Hi @vincenzo_225

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the mouse is not working when the charger is connected and you are getting error 45.

I’d love to help!

I would like to know whether you are talking about the touchpad on your computer or a USB mouse. If you are using a USB mouse, follow the below steps.

I would like to provide you with the information that this error message is not so much a problem as it is a way to let you know that a device is disconnected. The fix for the situation is just a matter of reconnecting the device.

If you are trying to connect to a device, like in your case a USB mouse, make sure that the USB cable is securely seated to the USB port on your computer. It’s a good idea to disconnect the cable and reconnect while you are checking. After you have reseated the cables, power the computer.

In case if you are talking about the touchpad follow the steps in the below link.
