Hello, I have questions regarding the proper thunderbolt cables that can used with the OMEN Accelerator. My main problem is I have a belkin cable it indicates on the actual cable SS10 meaning it only transfers only up to 10 Gbps. I purchased a aftermarket brand thunderbolt 3 cable on amazon indicating the "3" on it and is said to have 40 Gbps but when plugging it up I receive an indication USB or Thunderbolt device functionality might be limited also the omen logo doesn't light up so its not working with that cable specifically. I'm assuming if I have an optimal thunderbolt cable the accelerator will run more effectively with the eGPU. My main question is that I'm implying is it even possible to run a thunderbolt 3 40 Gbps  cable with the omen accelerator and my current notebook 13-ac0xx. Thanks in advance!

I have checked the specification of your laptop.

Your model support USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 2 (Thunderbolt, Data up to 40 GB/s, Power Delivery, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge)

In that case, it should work with any cable.

I ordered another brand cable, I suppose it doesn't necessarily matter the expense of the cable but it does matter if it's a "passive" or "active" thunderbolt cable plays a part determines if it works with an eGPU.

All the best!
