Product: HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000 (45W97AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
I found that my touchpad was unresponsive for a couple of days. I did the every possible way from my side like taking a component test , restarting pc etc. But of no use. Also when I open the device manager I could only see the HID compliant mouse and nothing else.

Use a USB wired or wireless mouse as a workaround.
Once you have the workaround mouse attached, power on the laptop and immediately tap the F2 key to invoke the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics utility.
Select Component tests and then Touchpad. Run the test.
