The yellow light on my laptop's touchpad is not turning on.

Check Touchpad Settings:

  • Open Settings > Devices > Touchpad and ensure the touchpad is enabled. If it's disabled, toggle it back on.

 

Update Touchpad Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager by pressing Windows + R, typing devmgmt.msc, and hitting Enter.
  • Expand Human Interface Devices and right-click on the touchpad driver. Select Update Driver to ensure it's up to date.

 

Perform a Hardware Test:

  • Use the built-in HP Diagnostics tool to check for any hardware issues with the touchpad. This can help identify if the light is malfunctioning.

 

Restart Your Laptop:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor glitches with hardware components like the touchpad.
