Hi @Aaruah,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for sharing the message. The warning you're seeing — something like: "The system BIOS has detected that your HP notebook PC was put into hibernation or shut down..." typically appears when the system did not shut down or resume properly, often due to: A forced shutdown, A power loss, A BIOS or firmware issue, A hardware change or failure.
1. Perform a Hard Reset
This clears temporary power states and resets hardware connections:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power and turn it on.
2. Enter BIOS and Load Defaults
- Restart the laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
- Once in BIOS, press F9 to load setup defaults.
- Press F10 to save and exit.
3. Disable Fast Startup (Windows)
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Uncheck Turn on fast startup.
- Save changes and restart.
4. Update BIOS
- Visit the official HP support page for your model: 🔗 Official HP® Support
- Download and install the latest BIOS update for your laptop.
5. Check for Hardware Issues
- Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:
- Restart and press F2 repeatedly.
- Run the System Test and Hard Drive Test.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
