I heard that the x360 has either the soldered-in RAM on the left side of the memory slot, or has 2 slots side by side. I opened my x360, see the left side of compartment has no slot, and a removable memory stuck in the slot on the right side. That memory is exactly what shows on my system info (one x 4GB DDR4 2400 on slot 2) So if that's the case, where is the soldered-in Ram (in this case, it might be another 4GB to work in dual channel)?
I also tried check my memory using Cpu-Z and it shows my computer is running under single channel and my memory slot #1 is gray out.
So now I'm pretty sure that either my computer doesn't have soldered-in memory to begin with, or it is defective. Checked the user/ and service manual, but they're very general too.
So I have to ask here if anyone has the same model as mine and shows differ. (Specs of my computer below)
Hp Envy x360 15-bp152wm:
Intel i7-8550U, intel UHD graphics 620. Samsung ddr4 2400T RAM. Intel Octane 16GB SSD (works in octane memory mode). 2.5' 1TB 7200rpm Hard drive.....

Hi,
Your notebook does not have any onboard memory. Certain models in that series can have 4GB of RAM integrated on the motherboard. Yours, has one memory slot and supports max 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM.
You can purchase from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Samsung....
Hope it helps,
David
