HP Elite Dragonfly Notebook PC IDS Base Model & HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 with Combo Cable
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have recently bought two products recommended by my reseller:

HP Elite Dragonfly Notebook PC IDS Base Model (sku=6FW28AV)

and

HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 with Combo Cable (sku=3TR87AA)

The Dragonfly has 2 Thunderbolt ports(USB Type-C connector, Power delivery 3.0 support)

When I connect the Thunderbolt dock G2 to the Dragonfly, the display is working but USB-A devices and the network are not detected.

I checked in the Thunderbolt control Center, there is no device waiting for approval. There is no Thunderbolt icon in the notification area.

I checked in the BIOS/UEFI, Thunderbolt is enabled, security is set to "user approval".

I downloaded and started all the firmware/software revisions available, not sure if they did their job.

I followed the user guide and the technical white paper available on support.hp.com without success:

HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 - User Guide

HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 - Technical White Paper

Thunderbolt software is in version 1.0.30.0

Does someone has an idea? I'm lost 🙂

Thank you very much!

Hi,

Still not found any solution to connect the docking to the laptop. Any idea anyone?

Thank you!
