Hello. I got Thunderbolt G4 docking station and have some issues with LG 27UL550-W monitor.
My setup is:
- Elitebook 850 G8 (latest drivers as of 15-Jul, according to HP Support Assistant application)
- thunderbolt g4 280W dock (latest firmware as of 15-Jul)
- iiyama GB2770QSU connected to dock via HDMI
- LG 27UL550-W connected to dock via DP or USB-C
When I lock my laptop, after a minute or 2, both screens go to sleep. But when I move my mouse, only iiyama wakes up. LG stays not responsive and I have to completly disconnect power supply of LG monitor to get it running.
This does not happen, when LG monitor is connected directly to Elitebook via HDMI or USB-C, so seems like docking station is not correctly handling DP communication. I tried to turning off all energy saving features in LG monitor, but it didn't solve the issue.
Does anyone know how to resolve this or how to report it to HP?

When one uses two different brands and models of displays connected to a docking station with different specification ports this kind of issue is expected to happen.
I resolved this issue in the past by using identical displays connected to a dock with identical connections between the display and dock.
