Please help! I don't know what else to try! My thunderbolt port has never worked and it's driving me crazy! I should have delt with it while under warranty but it didn't bother me then.
I have a thunderbolt port but my PO acts like it doesn't exist.. When i plug something into it, nothing happens.
I can't find anything that says thunderbolt in device manager.
I've tried the powering down and then holding the power button for 5+ seconds thing and that doesn't change anything.
I've run the full test in the UFEI diagnostics and it found nothing USB or thunderbolt related but I also read somewhere that it doesn't check thunderbolt so I don't know....
Please help! At this point I think i just need the driver for it but I don't know anything about the component so i don't know what driver to install.

The user guide on chapter 2, page 5 shows your laptop as having USB 3.1 type-c sleep and charge port, but not Thunderbolt.

I just checked the Product Content browser and it confirmed what the User guide said.

External I/O Ports | 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, HP Sleep and Charge); 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate (HP Sleep and Charge); 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate; 1 AC smart pin; 1 headphone/microphone combo |
Sorry to disappoint.
