Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

 

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive installed on the PC.

Your computer supports M.2 slot for a solid-state drive. 

 

Here is the video ( from YouTube) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4SArKdyBn0 which shows how to install M.2 drive.

(computer model might look different. However, the installing procedure remains same)
