Does anyone know what tool is required to undo the 2 visible screws on the base?

It appears to be Torx but T5 is too small, T6 too big.

Hi:

 

Chapter 5, page 30 of the service manual indicates the two screws are supposed to be Torx5 M2.0.

I know. As I stated however a T5 driver is too small. Unless M2.0 means it's not standard Torx

There is such a size as a Torx 5.5 bit you may want to look into.
