Hi.
Bought HP EliteBook 830 G5 with water damage.
Bought separate motherboard for HP EliteBook 830 G5 for replacement (other product number, i7 instead of i5)
Everything is working except Touch Screen (TS) and Finge Print (FP) sensor.
FP sensor and TS was checked on other HP notebooks and they are in working condition.
Are TS and FP sensor are locked in Bios or on HW level?
My neighbour has HP EliteBook 840 G5 (without TS). I connected my TS screen to his HP and it's not working too.
I have other HP EliteBook 840 G5 (with TS). I connected my TS screen to this HP and it's Working!
So looks like it's locked on some level.
Where?
I can replace Bios chip from water flooded MB (L13687-601) to new MB (L13711-601) - will it work? Will it help?
Or I need to solder some shorts somewhere on a motherboard PCB?
Thank you for any help!
