Hi all,  I must be an idiot.  I've read through all the posts and found the method of toggling the trackpad by double tapping on the top left.  I am able to do this and even toggle the visual indicator.  I get indications in the OS that the trackpad is being enabled/disabled as expected.  My problem is that when I go to enable the trackpad, the OS can see that I am touching the trackpad, but the cursor/mouse does not respond on the screen.

My trackpad worked when I first took the laptop out of the box and completed my companies OS installation, but has not wanted to work since.  Am I missing something?  How can I make my trackpad usable again?

Awesome. Easy fix. I would have never figured that out on my own. There are no sites (besides this one) that gives you this information. I would have continue to mess with the computer until I either messed it up so bad it wouldn't continue to work or I threw it against the wall and it wouldn't continue to work. Either way you saved my computer. Thank you.
