Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could assist with a problem I have with my touchpad.

I used the erase feature in the bios to wipe the SSD and installed a fresh version of Windows 10 x64 via usb. However it is clear some drivers are not available, sound, network, bluetooth, webcam, fingerprint sensor, touchpad are all non working. However touchpad is the main one which I need to work as i'm sure the rest I can get working later on.

I have searched the internet far and wide looking for a fix however nothing seems to work, I have listed some I've tried below.

- drivers for W11 for this model - don't work
- drivers for W10 for other models (for example G8) - don't work
- synaptics and elan "packs" or other synaptics files don't solve this situation
- bios don't have touchpad enable/disable button
- hard reset don't solve this problem too

- windows drivers pack - don't work

- hp cloud restore - not compatible - other models firmware not compatible

- windows 11 x64 install - don't work

Any help will be appreciated, I even contacted HP support but they have no clue whatsoever and my warranty expired in may.

Was your laptop delivered with an OS installed or not?

Can you enter the BIOS and check the system information tab to get the actual complete product name and number?

Post them in your next reply to your thread.

ON the HP driver download document web page below, there is a let us detect the drivers that you need button.
