This issue just doesn't seem to go away. The moment I got this brand new, I've had issues with the touchpad where the mouse will disappear and won't reappear until I restart my laptop. Luckily, it's a touchscreen so hasn't been a huge problem. The mouse has now disappeared and won't come back after several restarts. The touchpad is also unresponsive.

This is the device manager which shows a little icon next to the touchpad which I presume means there is an issue. I have already uninstalled the device and the driver software, restarted it and yet the issue persists.

In the past, there have been some windows updates for the mouse/touchpad specifically which has always sorted out the problem but only temporarily so I presume it's an issue for most HP Envy x360 laptops.

@DarthHazard,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the touchpad on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you uninstall the touchpad driver from device manager and then download and install it from the below link.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

If you continue facing the issue, then update the touchpad driver from device manager and check.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Open Start.
  2. Search for Device Manager and click the top result to open the experience.
  3. Double-click the category with the device you want to update.
  4. Right-click the device, and select the Update Driver option.
  5. Click the Search automatically for updated driver software option.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

The issue sorted itself out thankfully. I will post again if it appears again after trying out your fixes (which I most likely will have to since the issue always seems to return after a while)
