HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-ch1000 IDS Base Model

When I turn on my computer I can move my mouse around, but I can't click on anything to open any programs.  If I open task manager, I then can use my mouse/touchpad with no issues.  I've tried testing the component and my drivers are up to date.  This just started recently.

Hello QuilterKimberly, go to Device Manager and uninstall the driver, then restart the laptop. After restarting the laptop, download these drivers that I have given you the links.

Also download these two tools that I leave you to download.

I appreciate the response.  This did not work for me.  Again, I start up my computer and I can move my mouse, but I can't click on anything to open a program.  I can't click on anything with either my computer mouse pad nor an external mouse.  I can do a ctrl-alt-delete and go to task manager and then they both work that I can open a program.
