Gaming Pavilion 15-dk0014no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just got a new HP Gaming Pavilion and the touchpad is loose and makes a rattling noise whenever I lightly tap. It makes this noise even when not using the Clickpad (where you press down slightly harder to left or right click). I can see also that the bottom left of the trackpad is slightly lower than the rest of it. Is there instructions on removing the trackpad. I think It might be missing some backing material... something is not supporting it in the bottom/bottom left corner.

Hi,

Since the notebook is new and under warranty you could contact HP support directly and get fixed under warranty. You can identify the PC in link below and get contact options.

I could be that the bracket holding the touchpad in place has come loose.

On pages 54-55 of service manual you can see how the touchpad is held in place and the steps to reach it:

Hope it helps,
