I just purchased this computer today. After I was done setting up I noticed the cursor to my mouse was missing, then I went to touch the touchpad and my mouse has totally disappeared. I had to your the space bar, tab button, and enter button to navigate through my computer. How do I fix this issue?

Hi @asramirez95

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Have you tried using an external mouse and check if that helps?

Check if the mouse works on the BIOS screen

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Turn on the computer, and then immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.

  3. Press F10 to open the BIOS Setup Utility.

Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
