HP Elitebook x360 G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

When using my power bank to charge my computer from USB-C it sometimes work, but most often not. I have to try several times before it works, plugging in and out the cable. The powerbank support output of 65W. I have tested several different cables, but same result. I have also tested the powerbank on a HP Zbook and Apple Mac and it works just fine on these computers.

I do not have the brand of the powerbank, but the quality is good, and as mentioned it work just fine on other computers that support USB-C charging.

If someone can help it is much appreciated 🙂

That is COMPATIBLE issue. HP has a following product but HP Elitebook x360 G6 is NOT on the list of compatible products

I believe it is because it is compatible with  HP EliteBook x360 830 G5  machines.

Regards.

Hi thanks for reply @banhien

Do HP computers really have compability issues with non-hp components such as power banks?

The power bank works after unplugging and plugging in the cable after several attempts. Then it works just fine. Also tested with a lot of different cables.

May it rather be BIOS- or driver issues?

There was a time when I've been experiencing the same with my Envy as well, when I've been trying to charge it. But then I've realized that it was all about a bad-functioning cord, and even about a power bank I've been using, so there were two issues. I've simply replaced cord and power bank on this ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08527CGRT ), and it actually worked. I love Villain powerbanks, they are the most effective in comparison with others manufacturers.
