I have an HP Pavilion dv7-3183cl with a dead drive, and I always like restoring devices to near OOBE experiences if possible. I know HP doesn't like supporting legacy and older devices, but are there any sources for old recovery disk ISOs anywhere on the internet for these old laptops? If not, is there any way to at least restore on-screen features like displaying volume and brightness control?
I currently have it running W7 pro with drivers restored through SDI, but want to mess with a near OEM configuration if possible.

HP Recommended

HP retires support for their consumer class PC's when they reach 10 years of age.

 

The only place that I know of where you can easily find the drivers for your notebook in one place would be from this reputable 3rd party driver site:

 

HP Pavilion dv7-3183cl drivers
