After upgrading from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10. My HP CDDVDW TS-U633J Device (DVD) does not show in my device manager. I am trying to find Windows 10 driver for HP CDDVDW TS u633J Device. I have Windows 10 Version 1909.

SanyTech20 Thank you for responding to my question. First let me tell you the correct CD/DVD that I believe I have is a "hp CDDVDW TS-U633J" and not "HP CDDVDW TS L633R".

Since my Device Manager was not even detecting a CD/DVD Device, nor did it have a CD/DVD Device Category, the only way I found out was I went to Backup Restore and it told me the hp CDDVDW TS-U633J was disconnected.

My Computer is a:

HP Pavilion dm4-3099se Entertainment PC

My Product Number is A6X76UA#ABA

**edited

My CD/DVD spins and the eject button works.

Other than that, I am not getting any detection of my CD/DVD Drive.

My PC came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. It worked prior to my conversion to

Windows 10 Home, OS build 18363.535

This product is not tested to work on Windows 10:- Click here

We don't recommend upgrading it as there are no drivers available for this device

If you wish to continue using Windows 10, you may need to check with a local tech for further assistance or check 3rd party websites such as drivespace.com for drivers.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

,

Thank you for taking the time to research my problem. I understand that HP will not create Windows 10 drivers for my particular laptop. My laptop is an I5 Intel processor, with plenty of ram and processor speed to handle Windows 10. Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 7 as of January 14, 2020. Though I loved Windows 7 Home Premium, I did not want to be in a situation where my laptop will be vulnerable to increased security issues. I decided to upgrade to Windows 10. It works fine accept my DVD Drive is now not functional. I will continue to use this laptop without the drive. I can do without the DVD Drive.

I wanted to mark this solution as "Accepted Solution" but I am not sure how to flag the post. Thank you again for your time, effort.
