So installed an Kingston ssd in my HP Pavilion dv7-1010ed notebook and the bios doesn't detect it, but when I boot in my operating system on my hdd I can read and write on the drive. To clarify I tested the ssd in another computer and it actually detects the ssd as a bootable device and I can boot from it.

What I'm thinking is that I have to change sata compatibility, but there is no option to change that in my bios. The laptop on startup doesn't detect the ssd at all on startup. So I'm trying to enable advanced settings in my bios. I've tried F10 + A, but that just opens my bios normally and I also tried fn and tab 3 times in the bios and then rebooting the bios, but no success. Should I flash a custom bios?

@JuanDeag

Is it a boot table drive ? If YES, please remove old HDD and clear it before put it back.

Regards.

Unfortunately that didn't change anything.
