Trying to upgrade the memory on my HP 2000 Notebook. The more I read, the more confused I am about what to buy. it currently has 1 - 2gb SODIMM module. There are 2 slots and HP says max memory is 8gb. I understand to max it out I need to upgrade to 2- 4gb modules. HP diagnostics says it has an AMD E-300 APU processor running 1300MHz. The 2gb module in it currently is listed as DDR3 2048MB, 1066MHz synchronus, unregistered, unbuffered. Crucial suggests using a DDR3L-1600 SoDimm PC3 12800 CL-11 Non-buffered - non-ECC 1.35V. Can someone who knows advise me if that will work or what the maximum I can use is? Thanks for any help!

Hi:
I don't think it will work for two reasons...your notebook uses DDR3 1.5V memory, not 1.35V, and second, I don't think a PC3-12800 memory will downclock two speeds to 1066 MHz.
I would get DDR3-1333 MHz memory (PC3-10600) 1.5V memory. This is the right voltage, and will downclock to 1066 Mhz.
