My old hp pavilion(15-cc178cl) finally died around 1-2 months ago. I'd had it several years so it was time to upgrade anyway. I bought a new pavilion(15-eg1000) which I've had no issues with. I figured that I could use all my old chargers for the new laptop as well, and while my 45 W smart charger works fine the 65 W charger from my old pavilion is not recognized and does not even activate the charging indicator. Is the old charger simply not compatible?
Some notes:
-The old 65 W charger is working and providing power and lighting up the power indicator on the old device.
-Both the old 65 W charger and 45 W charger that came with my new laptop are 19.5 V and 3.33A and 2.31A respectively.
