There is no way to turn the power off to the USB ports when laptop is shut down. Is there a Bios option for this new laptop?

Hi,
Yes, in BIOS under heading "Configuration" disable "USB charging". This should disable USB charging when the notebook is turned off.
Hope it helps,
David
