Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to turn off the power button led light on my HP Envy 17" (2019)?
It is annoyingly bright when watching a movie. Just to be clear, I am not talking about the keyboard leds, that's absolutely fine.
I am only talking about the power button led light.
Many thanks!

I'll be happy to assist you.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Could you please help me with the operating system of the computer and the exact model and product number?
Keep me posted.
Have a great day!
Cheers 🙂

Hi,
Operation system is Win 10 Home 64 bit.
Model number is HP ENVY 17-ce0014na.
Thanks!
PS what does the model number matter though? There can't be a big difference between HP Envy 17" 2019 laptops.I presume hardware implementation must be the same when it comes to led lights...

I did a double check on the same and the power button light is bright by design and there's no option to make any changes to it in this model.
Keep me posted.
Have a great day!
Cheers 🙂

Thanks for checking. It is a tiny but annoying design fault then. I wish the power button led light was connected to the keyboard leds and would be optional to have it on...
I might have to put black nail polish on it...
