Pavilion 15-cs2064st
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

First Question: Just bought a Pavilion 15-cs2064st laptop and want to upgrade the RAM from 8GB to 16GB (which I'm told is the max for this machine. It came with a 8GB Micron DDR4 2667MHzSoDIMM 260-pin card, but I can't seem to find a Crucial memory card that says its compatible with this specific laptop.

Second Question: Laptop also came with a 1TB HD, but I want to swap it out for 256 or 500GB SSD. Same issue as above, I can't find an SSD that says it is compatible with this specific laptop.

I've called HP support, Crucial, been all over Amazon, CDW, and New Egg. Need some help finding something that will work! Thanks!!

Manual

Its specs:

1. RAM: You already know its existing RAM, please buy SAME 8GB stick. Using RAM fro other brand may not get full benefit from dual channels.

2. Storage: You can KEEP exsiting 1TB HDD and ADD 256GB or 500GB M.2 PCIe SSD using parts on page 54 of the manual OR Samsung 970 EVO series.

Regards.

Thank you for your help.

I have all of the manuals. The problem with the RAM is that the computer itself reports the RAM as 8GB Micron 2667MHz , while the manual reports it as 8GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) - and Crucial says they don't have any RAM compatible with this specific machine. So I am getting conflicting answers from multiple different sources.

With respect to the SSD I didn't realize I could just add the SSD, I will look into that further. Thank you.

Machine suports RAM at higher speed BUT may only run at lower specs. You can use EXISTING RAM stic and buy SAME one or use part # on page 56 of the manual

Probably Crucial has not tested its products therefore they can't publish compatible RAM.
