Two laptops - 15-AU620TX & 15-AY563TU - RAM upgrade

I have two laptops

1. 15-AU620TX &

2. 15-AY563TU

Planning to upgrade RAM in AU620TX to 8GB and

AY563TU to 4GB or 8GB

Please advice which of the below will suit these laptops??

They both use DDR4-2133 so the memory you ask about will work. Kingston ValueRAM causes issues every now and then. They have to try to make it to be compatible with so many different models....better to find OEM memory like Hynix or Samsung, Micron like this:

ECC is error correcting....only used in Servers and with very high end computers using Xeon processors. You DO NOT want ECC you want non-ECC

Reopening this thread after a while now.... I decided to work on the laptop as is, as it was new and then buy the ram after a few months....

Guess the time has come now... I just ordered a Cricial 8 GB thru' Amazon India.... Just thought I will take an expert opinion....

Its a 2400 Mhz RAM, but I was told by a colleague of mine that it doesnt matter, just that, both (old RAM and New) will work on the lower frequency..... Which would be 2133 of the old RAM....

Just let me know, if the assumption is right and this will indeed work on my HP 15-AY563TU

Its not what I recommended so I suggest you ask your friend. Mixing speeds might work but you may not get dual channel operation.  Good luck.

My bad.... I should have confirmed it with you before placing the order.....

Spoke to my friend and showed your reply..... I was not covinced with clarity he gave me - basically he is not as confident as he was before.... So cancelled the order I placed..... 

Just to avoid confusion, I open the laptop and took snap of the RAM that is in my laptop currently, can you have a look at it and tell me exactly what spec I should buy, please.

That is DDR4-2400 but the chip configuration is different than the Crucial you asked about. Where do you live (country)?
