Why the specs said my laptop has Type-C ThunderBolt ports with PD Application but I never can be able to charge my laptop thru Type-C connector??? Even connect to the external display with the right cable is impossible?

It has (2) USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with Thunderbolt™ Gen 4 ports (right side; USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4 and HDCP, HP Sleep and Charge) ports and requires 200 W Smart AC power adapter .
- What is your USB-C charger wattage rating ? If it is lower 150W, it may charge your machine when off or idle/sleep ?
- For external display, you need a Thunderbolt™ 4 monitor OR a compatible Thunderbolt™ 4 to Display 1.4 adapter to connect. You can also connect to more than 1 monitor using Daisy chain.
Regards.

Thanks for you explaination & information. I'm using LG Libero Monitor with has HDMI & Type-C connection, it's using input 140W adapter & has Type-C Gen 4 available, and it also have 2 input display mode: HDMI & Type-C.
The thing anoying me is the monitor itself can be displayed thru only 1 Type-C cable from ít manufacture with any laptop & PC but my HP Envy 16 :)) All I need is external display that can be displayed with just only one Type-C connection, I just dont like to use the adapter because it's not nessesary to do so.
So i guess my laptop sucks. Cuz technicians from HP services already test and has to use display adapter... Just very disappointment in my opinion...
