Product: HP ENVY Laptop 13-ah1xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Envy 13 charges for a few seconds then stops in a loop while laptop connected from HP EliteDisplay E223d 21.5-inch Docking Monitor via type-c cable.

Laptop charging fine via other type-c chargers.

BIOS latest version F.23

Any idea?

What EXCATLY is your HP ENVY Laptop 13-ah1xxx  ? Looks like the monitor does not have enough power (wattage) to support laptop's requirement. It may be able to charge your machine when machine is idle that why when you touch to something it stops.

 

Just a quick question: do you connect anything more to the monitor ?

19.5V * 3.33A = 65W

No, I have no any other usb-c devices.

Maybe this trouble is similar to HP EliteBook G5 ?
