Hi,

I want to know if there is a BIOS UEFI update for my laptop. A search on the HP website says that no software or drivers are available. My current version is F.33

 

Is this the latest version. If not how to update? I am not on Windows.

Basically, you can't -- the HP BIOS update routines are self-extracting archives that run only in Windows -- which is why those of us that have been at this for a while maintain dual-boot (i.e., Windows and Linux) so we can do stuff like this.

Hello Sir,

 

Thanks for getting back to me. So what if I were to have Windows on a USB and live boot it? Maybe I could update the BIOS that way?
