Hi:
The only thing 'better' about GPT is that it allows you to use a disk drive greater than 2 TB as a boot drive.
With MBR, the largest disk drive you can use as a boot drive is 2 TB.
There should be a UEFI mode setting in the BIOS. Make sure that is enabled and you should be able to install W10 in UEFI mode.
If there isn't then you can't.

From what I have read there is more than that.
Faster booting?
Less chance to have a HDD crash or easier to fix?
So if there is no UEFI or GPT option to enable in my bios it cant be update?
I read that there was an advance mode you could access in BIOS by entering combination of keys.
Can you tell which one there are for my laptop or is there only certain Bios that have that function? Ty.

There are no other settings in your BIOS other than what you can see.
No such thing as pressing certain keys to unlock advanced features in any HP notebook.
Your BIOS cannot be updated to add the UEFI option.
If your notebook has a UEFI BIOS, you will see a boot manager feature, with an option to boot from an EFI file (see the illustration below).
If you do not see anything like that in your notebook's BIOS, or when you press the F9 boot options key, then your notebook is not capable of booting from a GPT-formatted drive.

Hi:
You shouldn't need to do anything with a new SSD.
Just install W10 on it.
See this link for some general info.
