Hi everybody,
Now I am having trouble finding out one specific thing:
I am unsure whether I am using: just an Intel Processor, an Intel processor with graphics subsystem with UMA memory, or an Intel processor with a graphics subsystem discrete memory.
My Pc model is a HP dv6 6080SE, serial number 5CH1140WMH.

Hi:
According to the specs page at the link below, your notebook comes with the AMD/Intel switchable graphics setup.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02776800
So that means your notebook is classified as one with an Intel processor with a graphics subsystem discrete memory.
Notebooks with only the onboard Intel graphics, are the models with UMA memory, and those with the switchable graphics are those with the discrete memory, because the AMD graphics has its own memory subsystem.

You're very welcome.
The product specs state the graphics adapter is the 1024MB model.
You would need to get this part for your model...
Fan/heat sink assembly
For use only with computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with 1024-MB discrete memory
HP part # 641477-001
Unfortunately, I don't know where you can buy it or how much it will cost you.
Google the part number and see what you can find, or check eBay.
