Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all. I'd like to ask. The picture above is what type of SSD slot? M.2 SATA or M.2 NVMe?

Hi:

You can't tell by looking at the slot.

All M.2 slots in every HP notebook look like that.

They could support a NVMe SSD only, a SATA SSD only or both.

There are also some notebooks that have eMMC drives where the slot is disabled and is of no use.

So, if you want to know what type of M.2 SSD will work in the slot, you have to consult the service manual for the model notebook you have.

If you let me know the full model number or product number of your notebook, I can probably help you determine what type of drive will work.
