Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi my Name is Yazid, I am from Nigeria. I am having issue of playing high graphics games such as Call of Duty Warzone on my HP Envy TS 15j052nr with no dedicated graphics chip. I have came across a HP ENVY NOTEBOOK 15T-Q 15-Q493CL laptop motherboard 829210-001 829210-601 mainboard 829210-501 829210950M4GB i7-6700HQ HM170, it physically looks like it is gonna fit on my Envy 15j052nr case. My quest is, is it possible to upgrade my board with the 15Q?

Hi,

I have not tried this.

Looking at the motherboard in both service manuals I believe it will work

pages 53-54  http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04790709.pdf       for 15-q400

 

even looking at the two assembly videos

we can see that they are the same. You would also need to change the heat sink to cool the dedicated graphics.
