Hi,

The notebook supports max 16GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM (2x8GB)

There are two slots and the notebook came with one 4GB module. You can purchase from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Samsung...

On page 76 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade RAM:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04409502

Example of RAM:

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-15-r033tx#MEMORYFilters

You can replace the hard drive with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD such as the Samsung 860 Evo or similar of your desired capacity. On page 59 of the service manual, you can see the steps to replace the drive.

Example:

https://www.amazon.in/Samsung-250GB-Internal-Solid-MZ-76E250BW/dp/B079DTMNWC/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=860...

You will need to reinstall the OS on the SSD either by using recovery disk, migrating an image or performing a clean install.

Hope it helps,

David
