Example: Pavilion 15 n259tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was using my laptop to power my homemade drone. It was working fine. but one day I connected it with laptop without removing its battery which is  a 3.7 V lithium ion battery. as I connected immediately the laptop got off. when I turned it on it was working fine and later on I realized my two usb 3.0 on left side have died. its not even charging my phone. Do I only have to changed its fuse or have to changed the whole board which I am sure would be expensive 😞 . I even removed the battery for more than 8 hours but still ho luck. please someone help me out.

This does sound like a USB short circuit.

I suggest you run a USB Diagnostic from F2 to check the Hardware Functionality

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and USB

Keep me posted how it goes
