Hi @MilindNikhar

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP USB 3.0 v220w 128GB pen drive is showing as an empty folder after transferring files from your PC, there could be a few reasons why this is happening. Let's go through some common causes and solutions to resolve the issue:

1. Check the File Transfer Process

  • Ensure the transfer was successful: Sometimes, files may appear to be copied, but the process might not have completed correctly.
    • Try copying a small file (e.g., a text document or image) and check if it shows up after the transfer.
    • Wait until the transfer finishes: Ensure the transfer process has fully completed before removing the pen drive. Sometimes files won’t show up if the drive is removed prematurely.

2. Check the File System Format

  • The pen drive might have a corrupted file system or might not be formatted correctly for your system to read it properly.
    • Check the file system: Right-click on the pen drive in File Explorer and select Properties. Look for the File System (it should say something like NTFS, FAT32, or exFAT).
    • Reformat the pen drive (if needed):
      1. Backup any important files from the USB drive (because reformatting will erase all data on it).
      2. Open File Explorer, right-click on the USB drive, and select Format.
      3. Choose a file system (preferably exFAT for large file support and cross-platform compatibility).
      4. Click Start to format the drive.
    • After reformatting, try transferring files again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Not happening. I already did this for two - three times. Formatting and all but it is showing empty folder only and total used space showing as equal to copied content size.
