OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-c0000 (343L2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

Just bought an OMEN gaming laptop, spec of ports claim to be USB 3.1

When I connect the Oculus Quest I get the warning that the connection is slow because it is USB 2.

This is confirmed when I run the app USBDeview.

Also, new to Windows so not sure this is something I need to update...

Your machine could be one of the following machines

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/product/omen-16.1-inch-gaming-laptop-pc-16-c0000/2100371407/product-inf...

For example

            OMEN by HP Laptop 16-c0001dx

It only has  1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port which is not a Thunderbolt port

Regards.

Thank you for your answer!

I think there is a workaround this issue with linking the Oculus to a USB Type A port uding a Type C to Type A cable...

However, it is very confusing that the Type C port is not a Thunderbolt and very inconvenient! Actually, next to the port on the laptop there is a Thunderbolt symbol....

I don't think there is a standard Thunderbolt symbol in this world.

Hope that makes sense.
