I have an HP spectre and am using a Thunderbolt G4 Docking station. The USB A port in the laptop is not working at all and wont recognise anthing plugge dinto it. Also, i am getting an intermittent fault with the Docking station with the mouse and keyboard. It will just cut out at times and i have to reinsert the dongle into the docking station.
Any help appreciated as this is limiting my day to day useage of the product and really frustrating

Sometimes helps to reset all the USB devices on the computer. This tutorial explains:

Also on the individual usb devices in device manager you can uncheck the box allowing windows to turn off the device to save power in the power management tab. Let us know if this has any effect.
