According to the spec, the usb c port in this laptop is a 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge). However, when trying to use it, I cannot get it to work apart from normal USB capabilities.
After plugging in a 67W charger, there is no reaction visible from the battery charging.
Similarly, when plugging in a USB C to displayport cable to my monitor, the monitor is not detected and there is no signal to the monitor. The USB cable is recognized as 'USB 2.0 BILLBOARD'. I really want to get this specific feature to work, as the only reason I bought the cable was to be able to use my 4k 60hz monitor, as the HDMI port output is not fast enough.
I have already updated the BIOS, all the drivers from the HP website, and am running Windows 11 Home, version 21H2, 22000.527

We have a discrepancy between the specs sheet and the Service Manual. The latter says USB-C port is data transfer only, which is consistent with what you are experiencing.
