Hello JustaBigBird.

According to your laptop's manual, the left side USB-C port supports Power Delivery.

Of course, according to HP the only way to be 100% certain that one of their laptops can also use a USB-C charger, is if HP offers such a charger for that particular model. Unfortunately, this is not the case here.

However, the Austrians at Notebookcheck have reviewed this model and reported that it actually DOES charge through the USB-C port, as long as the charger is at least 45W.

You can also find several sites online that sell HP compatible parts and that offer BOTH the old-fashioned barrel chargers as well as USB-C chargers as fully compatible with this laptop. HPPartsShop.co.uk for instance, but there are others as well.

Although you won't be able to get official HP confirmation that this system can charge with a USB-C charger, in my opinion this system will work fine with one as long as it is powerful enough (>45W) and if this were my system I'd definitely go for it.

Take care!
