Hi,

I have a HP ENVY Laptop 14-eb0000na (30B00EA).

It's got a USB-C (thunderbolt 4) port, which should allow charging the laptop. Does anyone know what USB C charger I would need for that?

Thanks

Avib

While the official specs say the USB-C port has "Power Delivery" function the Service Manual:

Manual

describes the ports as USB-C with Sleep and Charge which is to say it will charge a phone but will not take incoming power. The AC adapters listed in the Manual are barrel type. My conclusion is that your laptop cannot be charged via the USB-C port.

The port does include Alt-DP (video) so it has most of the features of a Thunderbolt port but not all. It's possible I am incorrect and you can know by trying an inexpensive USB-C charger such as this one:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I believe it does take incoming power, as it charges when I connect it via the USB-C thunderbolt to monitors at my University.

I'm just really confused on what charger I would need to buy to achieve that.

Thanks

It takes a 135w charger per the specs. On all but the newest laptops, USB-C power is limited to 100w. The charger I linked above would work but would charge slowly
