OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck2000 (70W99AV)

Is there a USB-C Dock that allows power whilst on to a OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck2000 (70W99AV) which is what I have? If not if I was to have power connected to the the USB-C Dock and then plugged in the laptops own power, will this cause an issue?

The power brick (what I call the power adaptor for this laptop) is huge and on the back says 330w. I assume that's due to the fact that this has a RTX 4080 in there,

I have 2 27 QHD monitors connected to a USB-C Hub, this hub definitely works as I also have a smaller work laptop and when connected to that it also charges as well expand to the additional screens and also work any additional peripherals that I have connected to it, however when I connect it to my own HP Omen, it does everything 'EXCEPT' provide any power when turned on. I turn the laptop off, and I know it has charged with this same hub because the battery is full when I have turned it back on.

I just wanted to know that if the battery was low and I was to connect the laptops on power it would not damage the laptop or the hub if both are connected when turned on.

Hope the above makes sense

Hi thank you for your reply, I thought for the USB-C dock to work it needs to be powered, but have realised that it doesnt need its own power, the USB-C PD is to allow the laptop to charge. In Regards to the work laptop, i can plug the USB-C charger into the dock, when using my HP, I take the USB-C charger out the dock and then just plug the dedicated power into my HP Omen.

Thank you for assiting though.

Hi @Gunmaster_G9

It does not damage it, wen effect many dock does not have 330 watt power. For example HP sells the Thunderbolt G4 280 watt with dual cables to charge laptops that need a lot of power.
