Product: pavilion x360 convertible 14m-dh1xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I attempted to connect a USB-C to Dual HDMI adapter to my Pavilion x360 Convertible 14m-dh1xxx but it did not work. Does the USB-C port on my machine have the Alternate Mode capability that is needed to use this type of adapter?

What is your pavilion x360 convertible 14m-dh1xxx  ? For example HP Pavilion x360 - 14m-dh1003dx , its specs

which shows it ONLY has

 

     1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port and this port does not support video out.

I confirmed that my full model number is 14m-dh1003dx. I found this number on the under side of the laptop.

That is disappointing. Is there a way to upgrade the port through software to handle video or are there hardware limitations?
