Hi,
Suddenly 1 of 2 usb-c/thunderbolt ports was not recognized by Windows.
It looks not working, because no Voltage supply for connected device is observed.
I have tried to fix in many ways, such as updating the system, re-installation of drivers, rebooting many times under various conditions and so on, but no effect at all...
Actually the other usb-c port had not worked just after purchasing this PC (Oct. 2019), but I have enough time to fix the problem so far .
Anyway, now 2 of 2 usb-c ports don`t work at last!
Recently I checked the hardware component test and get following 24 digit code for both of usb-c ports.
UAKR43-9QLA2T-MFPXGJ-8D4U03
What is the meaning and of this code. is it possible to fix it by myself?
Advice from experts are highly appreciated.

Hello @Koita,
Failure ID UAKR43-9QLA2T-MFPXGJ-8D4U03 translates to Failure Code 434 which includes the GPS, HUB, Modem, Network Card, Network Drive, PCI Card, PCMCIA, Switch, USB. The error message is USB Failure (unspecified).
That information is basically useless.
As for my suggestions, have you tried a power reset:
- Turn off the laptop
- Unplug the power cord
- Remove any external accessories
- Hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds
- Plut in the power cord
- Attempt to turn on the device
Furthermore, have you tried a BIOS update?
Best regards,
Eddy

Hi Eddyk,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I have tried just as you described, then find it works.
Now both of USB-C ports recover their function, amazing!
From just my interest, I want to ask you what is the function of such procedure?
PS
The latest version of BIOS is, of course, applied.

I'm not very good at explaining things but the general consensus is that it drains residual electric charge. There's probably more to it but unfortunately, I'm not very technically informed.
I had the same problem as you with a Spectre x360 a few years ago and this did the trick. This power reset is quite honestly a lifesaver sometimes and can get people out of the trickiest issues.
Hope that helps.
Kind regards,
Eddy
