Hi everyone!
I would like to charge my PC with a more portable adaptor than the one that came with my pc, which is very bulky and uncomfortable to travel with.
That is why I'm interested in getting a USB-C charge adaptor, but I have no idea about the input, output power, etc. I don't want my battery to burn or my PC to break down because of my ignorance! I am confused whether the USB-C charger and the stantard charger are the same with regard to the voltage, etc.
I tried using my boyfriend's Mac usb-c charger which is 30W and it worked on my PC, with no warnings showing up or anything. My PC was ON and started charging immediately. Would this be a good charger, compatible with my laptop? Because it's super light weight and ideal for travelling.
On the back of my pc, next to the model is written: 19.5 V dc @ 6.9 A; on the user manual I found that this would equal to 19.5 V dc @ 6.9 A – """135 W""", which is what is written in my standard charger. So would the Mac charger of 30W be much lower than what my PC needs, and therefore not be compatible in the longterm, thus damaging my PC?
Again, sorry for my ignorance. I have no clue about this subject!
Thank you!

Hi @Lucía
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
HP recommends using the genuine HP AC adapter as it is compatible and we do not recommend using another adapter apart from the HP.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
